Invest. Improve. Grow.

The work begins after the close. PMG’s core philosophy is to create long-term enterprise and strategic value in the businesses it holds — not simply to acquire them.

The approach

The work begins after the close.

PMG approaches investments with an operating perspective. Where appropriate, technology, systems, data, strategic resources, and operational experience are applied to strengthen the underlying enterprise.

01

Invest

Disciplined investment and strategic acquisition.

PMG evaluates mature, lower middle market businesses with a defensible market position — companies facing an operational, financial, organizational, or strategic challenge with an identifiable cause, which is the opportunity rather than the disqualifier. Diversity across the businesses it holds is deliberate, concentrated in the sectors where PMG already has an operating foothold rather than spread across whatever comes to market.

02

Improve

Operations, systems, technology, and intelligence.

The first 120 days after a close are treated as the most consequential period of the investment. PMG supports management through that transition and the sustained oversight that follows — bringing operational discipline, and, where useful, the data and marketing capability held at the platform level, to bear on the specific business.

03

Grow

Organic development, strategic acquisitions, and long-term enterprise value.

Management teams keep full decision-making authority over their businesses and are held accountable for operations and for executing the strategic plan they own. PMG sets no fixed hold period; its own M&A capability sits alongside sourcing and execution, not apart from it.

Experience from more than one side of the table.

PMG’s perspective is informed by experience as owners, operators, investors, buyers, sellers, and strategic participants — perspective that comes from having sat in each of those seats, not only advised from outside them.

Discipline

What PMG looks for, held to internally.

Not a public intake — the standard PMG applies to what it already holds, and to anything it might hold next.
